Become a volunteer

A cheerful smile, a friendly word, a sympathetic nod...

What is involved in becoming a volunteer!

It’s not the things that can be bought that are life’s richest treasure it’s just the little “hearts gifts” that money cannot measure. A cheerful smile, a friendly word, a sympathetic nod are priceless little treasures from the storehouse of our God. They are the little things that can’t be bought with silver or gold, for thoughtfulness and kindness and love are never sold. They are the priceless things of life for which no-one can pay and the giver finds rich recompense in giving them away.

As a volunteer you make a commitment to people who are relying on you being there. Volunteering is not of a lesser importance than paid work – it is extremely important to those we spend time with, and a cancellation for a "better" offer is not what the act of volunteering is all about.
